Period
The accumulation period cannot be specified for Manual tests.
Time
Select this option to configure the error detector to accumulate bit errors for a
specific period of time.
You can enter the desired time period in the Days, Hr (Hours), Mn (Minutes),
and Sec (Seconds) fields. You may use the numeric keypad or front panel knob.
The minimum value is 1 second and the maximum value is 99 days, 23 hours,
59 minutes, and 59 seconds. When the selected time has elapsed, the
accumulation ends.
Number of Errors
Select this option to configure the error detector to accumulate bit errors until
a specified number of errors has been measured.
The number of errors can be set to 10, 100, or 1000. When the selected number
of errors has occurred, the accumulation ends after the next full second.
Number of Bits
Select this option to configure the error detector to accumulate bit errors until
the specified number of bits have been examined.
The number of bits can be set from 1E7 to 1E15. When the selected number of
bits have been exceeded, the accumulation ends.
N O T E
The actual test period may contain more bits than specified.
N O T E
The accumulation period cannot be changed while accumulation is progress.
Browse
Click this button to browse for the directory where you wish to save the
measurement log files.
N O T E
Changes to the parameters of the accumulation setup do not take effect until the
start of the next accumulation.
