Streaming Content Manager
Streaming Content Manager - SCM is Extron’s
software management tool for processing, packaging,
and delivering AV recordings produced by the
Extron SMP 351 Streaming Media Processor during
impromptu recording sessions. It processes MP4
recordings, thumbnail images, and metadata produced
by the SMP 351 into a package of files that are played
back from the Extron Media Player – EMP. SCM is
also used to define and manage users, groups, and
access rights to EMP recording packages. SCM
automates management of user data and access
rights by integrating data obtained from LDAP/AD
network services. User data such as an email address
obtained from an AV control system is used by SCM
to authenticate, apply access rights, and notify users
when recording packages have been completed and
are available for retrieval.

Extron Media Player
Extron Media Player - EMP is a browser-based media
player for MP4 (M4V) recordings produced by the
SMP 351 Streaming Media Processor. EMP provides
an enhanced playback experience, incorporating a
thumbnail timeline and metadata with an advanced
set of playback controls. EMP recording packages are
prepared by the Extron Streaming Content Manager
- SCM software. EMP can operate from any PC or
personal device with a web browser.
