Two Channel High Impedance Amplifiers – 100 Watts Per Channel
The Extron XTRA
™
Series XPA 1002-70V and
XPA 1002-100V are half rack 1U, convection cooled
power amplifiers delivering two channels of 100 watts
per channel for 70 volt or 100 volt high impedance
speaker systems in voice reinforcement and distributed
audio applications. These professional grade amplifiers
feature a 100 dB signal-to-noise ratio with 0.1%
THD+N. The XPA 1002-70V and XPA 1002-100V are
ENERGY STAR
®
qualified amplifiers with an Extron
exclusive, highly efficient, advanced Class D amplifier
design. They also feature patented CDRS
™
- Class D
Ripple Suppression technology that provides a smooth,
clean audio waveform and an improvement in signal
fidelity over conventional Class D amplifiers. The
XPA 1002-70V and XPA 1002-100V are housed in a half
rack width metal enclosure, conserving rack space and
weighing only 2.5 lbs (1.1 kg). The Extron exclusive,
high efficiency design generates very little heat and
allows the amplifier to be convection cooled.

SpeedMount Two-Way Surface Mount Speakers with 8" Woofer
The Extron SM 28 SpeedMount
®
Surface Mount
Speaker is a two-way speaker with a patent pending,
concealed wall mounting system. It features an
8" (20.3 cm) woofer with dual tuned ports and a
1" (2.5 cm) tweeter. The SM 28 provides a frequency
range from 59 Hz to 22 kHz, and a power rating of
90 watts continuous pink noise, 180 watts continuous
program capacity. The Extron-exclusive mounting
system is designed to accommodate division-of-labor
installations and save costs. The SM 28 is available
as an 8 ohm model, and an SM 28T version which can
operate in 8 ohm direct as well as 70 volt and 100 volt
modes. The SM 28T features a 5 position power tap
selector for up to 64 watts, which can conveniently be
accessed through the grille from outside the speaker.
