There are three ways to determine if an input has been muted by contact closure:
1. The unsolicited response In
X2
*2 is sent following contact closure mute.
2. Querying the status using the
X2
! command results in the 2 response.
3. Sending the
X2
*
X3
! command results in the E14 error message response.
After an input is no longer muted, the input will be restored back to the settings that were in effect prior to the
mute, including volume gain control and input on/off status.
