Setting MTP Receiver level/peaking
If level/peaking is available on the connected receiver(s), adjust
it as follows:
1. If using an oscilloscope, apply a white field test pattern to
one of the local (VGA) inputs on the MTPX Plus.
If using a monitor, apply a grayscale test pattern to one of
the local (VGA) inputs on the MTPX Plus.

The Extron VTG 300 or VTG 400 are recommended to
provide the test pattern.
2. Tie the local input receiving the test pattern signal to the
output connected to the MTP receiver to be optimized.

3. Connect an oscilloscope or monitor to the output of the
MTP receiver.
4. Adjust the receiver’s level/peaking in accordance with the
applicable MTP product manual.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each receiver to be optimized.
Accessing the HTML Pages
Another way to operate the switcher is via its factory-installed
HTML pages, which are always available and cannot be erased
or overwritten. The switcher’s HTML pages are accessible
through its LAN port, connected via a LAN or WAN, using a
web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. See

page 2-6, for connection information.
Loading the start-up page

If your Ethernet connection to the matrix switcher is
unstable, try turning off the proxy server in your Web
browser. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Tools >
Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings,
uncheck the Use a proxy server... box, and then click
OK.
