Front panel indicators
The front panel of the IPL T SF24 and SFI244 interfaces
has several indicator LEDs that show the current status of
communications to and from the unit. A Reset button (

) is
also available from the front panel, in a small recess next to the
Power LED.

On/Off indicator LED — A green LED lights to indicate
that the interface is receiving power.

Reset button (recessed) — See “Resetting the unit” below
in this chapter for details on this multi-function Reset
button.

IR learning receiver — This smaller infrared receiver
“learns” commands from other devices’ IR remote controls.
See the IR Learner software’s help le for IR learning
procedures.

COM ports — A green LED indicates that data is being
transmitted or received (TX or RX); ready to send or
ready to accept data (RTS or CTS for IPL T SF24) from the
corresponding serial port (1 and 2).
