1. Open the Network Connections page as follows:

• Locate and right-click on My Network

Places on the Windows 2000,

WindowsXP (or higher version) desktop,

then click on Properties.

• Click on the Start menu, click on Settings

(if needed), click on Control Panel to open the Control Panel window, and

double-click on Network and Dial-up Connections (Windows 2000),

Network Connections (Windows XP, shown below),

or Network and Sharing Center (Windows 7, shown below).

2. Access the properties dialog box.

• For Windows XP, right-click on Local Area Connection, then select

Properties.

• For Windows 7, click on

Local Area Connection to open

the Local Area Connection Status

dialog box, then click Properties.
