Step 6 — Mount the DA
If necessary, mount the line driver. Make any cabling
adjustments before mounting the line driver, as the
cables may be inaccessible afterwards.
The DA can be mounted using an optional Extron
2U universal rack shelf (part number 60-032-01) as
follows:
a. Remove the rubber feet if they were previously
installed on the bottom of the unit.
b. Place the DA on one side of the rack shelf. Align
the front of the DA with the front of the shelf and
align the threaded holes on the bottom of the DA
with the holes in the rack shelf.
c. Secure the DA to the rack shelf with the two provided 4-40 x 3/16 inch machine screws.
Insert the screws from the underside of the shelf and securely fasten them through
diagonally opposite corners.
d. Fasten the false front panel (provided with the rack shelf) to the unoccupied side of the
rack (as shown in figure 2), or install a second half-rack-width device on that side by
repeating steps a through c.
e. Secure the rack shelf to the rack using four 10-32 x 3/4 inch bolts. Insert the bolts through
#10 beveled washers, then through the holes in the mounting brackets.
Troubleshooting
If the image does not appear or is not displayed properly
• Make sure that all of the devices are powered on.
• Make sure that each device is receiving power. The front and rear panel LEDs on the DA
should be lit.
• Check the cabling and make adjustments as needed.
• Check the manuals of the input and output devices or contact Extron to determine if there
are special requirements to output video to the external video port.
