The unit responds with the current status (signal
detected) of optical link 1, optical link 2, the video input,
the audio input, the ber optic mode (singlemode or
multimode), and the device type (Tx or Rx).

The receiver monitors the primary (transmitter Tx to receiver Rx cable). If the PC is connected to the transmitter and the secondary fiber
cable is not installed, for the I and the S commands, the transmitter reports 1Link0 regardless of the status of the primary cable.
