The unit responds with the current status (signal detected) of optical link 1, optical link 2, the video input, the audio input, the fiber optic mode (singlemode or multi mode), and the device type (Tx or Rx).

The receiver monitors the fiber 1 cable. If the PC is connected to the transmitter and fiber cable 2 is not installed, for the information request
(I) and Status commands (S) below, the transmitter reports 1Link0 regardless of the status of the fiber 1 cable.
