CD 900 Decoder
To output component video
1. Set the RGB/component DIP switch to the off/left
position.
2. Set the H/HV/SOG switch to the SOG position.
Troubleshooting
If the image does not appear
1. Ensure that all devices are plugged in and powered on.
The CD 900 is receiving power if the front panel power
LED is lit.
2. Ensure an active input is selected on the CD 900.
3. Ensure the RGB/Component DIP switch and the
H/HV/SOG switch are in the correct positions for the
video output. See “Setting Up the CD 900/Rear Panel
Controls” on page 3-2 for more details.
4. Ensure the horizontal and vertical sync DIP switches are in
the correct position. See “Setting Up the CD 900/Rear
Panel Controls” on page 3-2 for more details.
5. Check the cabling and make corrections as necessary.
6. Call the Extron customer support hotline if necessary.
If the image is not displayed correctly
1. If the picture bends or flags at the top of the screen, change
the position of the serration pulse DIP switch.
2. If the output image looks too green, the CD 900 may be set
to sync on green (the H/HV/SOG switch set to SOG).
3. If the picture hangs off the edge of the screen, adjust the
H Shift control.
4. Readjust the picture controls after replacing a video
source.
5. If the image still does not display properly, call the Extron
customer support hotline.
If the image does not respond to picture controls
1. The CD 900 is in executive mode. Set Executive Mode DIP
switch to the right.
