Caution
Always connect the redundant power supply cord before you attach the AC power cord to the
EPS-160 power supply.
To connect the EPS-160 power supply to the switch:
1. Connect the keyed end of the redundant power supply cord to the EPS-160 power supply (see
Figure 302).
2. Connect the other end of the redundant power supply cord to the Extreme switch (see Figure 302).
This connector end can only be inserted into the switch with the end marked TOP facing up.
Note
If your switch was shipped with a metal cover plate over the redundant power input
connector, remove the cover.
Warning
The redundant power input connector on the rear of the switch contains high energy and
is a burn hazard. Use care when connecting the redundant power supply cord to the rear
of the switch.
