Configuring the Summit WM Controller

To define port exception filters:
1 From the main menu, click Summit Switch Configuration. The Summit WM Controller
Configuration screen is displayed.
2 In the left pane, click Port Exception Filters. The Port Exception Filters screen is displayed.
3 Select the applicable data port from the Port drop-down list.
4 In the IP / subnet: port box, type the destination IP address. You can also specify an IP range, a port
designation or a port range on that IP address.
5 From the Protocol drop-down list, select the protocol you want to specify for the filter. This list may
include UDP, TCP, IPsec-ESP, IPsec-AH, ICMP. The default is N/A.
6 Click Add. The new filter is displayed in the Filter section of the screen.
7 To select the new filter, click it.
8 To allow traffic, select the Allow checkbox.
9 To adjust the order of the filtering rules, click Up or Down to position the rule. The filtering rules
are executed in the order defined here.
10 To save your changes, click Save.

Once you have performed the initial configuration of the Summit WM Controller, you are now ready to
