Viewing address mappings
View the mappings of network layer address to physical address to interface.
About this task
The probe adds entries on this tab based on the source MAC and network addresses in packets
without MAC-level errors.
The probe populates this table for all protocols on the Protocol Directories tab with a value of
AddressMapConfig equal to supportedOn.
Procedure
1. In the navigation pane, expand the following folders: Configuration > Serviceability >
RMON.
2. Click Address Map.
3. Click the Address Map tab.
Address Map field descriptions
Use the data in the following table to use the Address Map tab.
Name
Description
LocalIndex Shows a unique identifier for the entry in the table.
HostAddress Shows the network address for this entry. The format
of the value depends on the protocol portion of the
local index.
Source Shows the interface or port on which the network
address was most recently seen.
PhysicalAddress Shows the physical address on which the network
address was most recently seen.
LastChange Shows the value of the sysUpTime when the entry
was created or last changed. If this value changes
frequently, it can indicate duplicate address
problems.
Viewing the data source for host statistics
View the Host Control tab to see the data source for both network layer and application layer host
statistics.
