Installation Instructions

Chapter 1: Introduction
Purpose
This document provides installation instructions and technical specifications for the following:
• Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP)
• Small Form Factor Pluggable plus (SFP+)
• Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable plus (QSFP+)
VSP Operating System includes Avaya Virtual Services Platform 8200, Avaya Virtual Services
Platform 8400, Avaya Virtual Services Platform 7200, and Avaya Virtual Services Platform 4000
Series.
Not all Avaya products support all cable lengths, or all SFP, SFP+, or QSFP+ transceivers.
Note:
The Avaya VSP 4000 does not support 40 Gbps QSFP+ transceivers because the VSP 4000
devices do not have any QSFP+ ports. However, the VSP 4000 series supports the four SFP+
10-gigabit ends of the Direct Attach Breakout Cable (BOC) assembly.
