Chapter 2: New in this document
The following sections detail what is new in Installing the
Avaya Virtual Services Platform 7200
Series, NN47228-302.
Port-Licensed VSP 7200 Series models
Two additional VSP 7200 Series models are now available: these are referred to as Port-Licensed
models. By default these models ship with the first twenty-four of the forty-eight 10 Gigabit ports
(SFP+ or RJ45), and the first four of the six 40 Gigabit ports, enabled. The remaining twenty-four 10
Gigabit ports and the remaining two 40 Gigabit ports can be field-enabled through the purchase and
installation of the optional Port License.
For more information, see
Hardware models for VSP 7200 Series on page 13.
The Port License can be used alone, or may be combined with a Premier or Premier plus MACsec
License at any time. Similarly, a Premier or Premier plus MACsec License can be used alone on a
Port licensed VSP 7200 Series or may be combined with a Port License at any time to fully enable
all access ports on the Port-Licensed models.
For more information on the Port License, see Administering Avaya Virtual Services Platform 7200
Series and 8000 Series, NN47227-600.
