Variable definitions
Use the data in the following table to use the boot config sio console command.
Table 11: Variable definitions
Variable Value
8databits Specifies either 8 (true) or 7 (false) data bits for each byte for the software
to interpret. The default value is 8 data bits. Use the no or default operator
with the command to configure this variable to the false condition.
baud <9600–115200> Configures the baud rate for the port from one of:
9600
19200
38400
57600
115200
The default value is 9600. To configure this option to the default value, use
the default operator with the command.
Displaying the boot configuration
About this task
Display the configuration to view current or changed settings for the boot parameters.
Procedure
1. Enter Privileged EXEC mode:
enable
2. View the configuration:
show boot config <choice|flags|general|host|running-config
[verbose]|sio>
Example
Show the current boot configuration. (If you omit verbose, the system only displays the values that
you changed from their default value.):
Switch:1>enable
Switch:1#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
