<1–6> Sets the SSH rekey data limit in GB, range is 1–6.
Configuring SSH rekey time-interval
Use the following procedure to configure a time interval, after which the key exchange takes place.
Procedure
1. Enter Global Configuration mode:
enable
configure terminal
2. Enter the following command:
ssh rekey time-interval <1–6>
Example
Switch:1> enable
Switch:1# configure terminal
Configure the SSH rekey time-interval to 3 hours:
Switch:1(config)# ssh rekey time-interval 3

Variable Value
<1–6> Sets the time-interval for SSH rekeying in hours, the range is 1
to 6.
Displaying SSH rekey information
Use the following procedure to display the SSH rekey information.
Procedure
1. Enter Privileged EXEC mode:
enable
2. Enter the following command:
show ssh rekey
Example
Switch:1> enable
Switch:1#show ssh rekey
Rekey Status : TRUE
