Procedure
1. From the navigation tree, expand the following folders: Configuration > Edit > Diagnostics.
2. Click Ping/Trace Route.
3. Click the Trace Route Control tab.
4. Select a traceroute entry.
5. Click Trace Route Result.
Trace Route Result field descriptions
Use the data in the following table to use the Trace Route Result tab.
Name Description
OwnerIndex Specifies the index of the owner.
TestName Specifies the name of the test.
OperStatus Specifies the operational status of the test. The default is disabled.
CurHopCount Specifies the current count of hops.
CurProbeCount Specifies the current count of probes.
IpTgtAddressType Specifies the IP target address type
IpTgtAddr Specifies the IP target address.
TestAttempts Specifies the number of test attempts.
TestSuccesses Specifies the number of successful test attempts.
LastGoodPath Specifies the date and time when the last response is received for
a probe.
Viewing the traceroute history
About this task
View the traceroute history to view the history of traceroute tests performed by the switch.
The traceroute probe history contains probe information for the hops in the routing path.
Note:
In the current release, troubleshooting using ping and traceroute (including Layer 2 ping and
Layer 2 traceroute) is not supported on EDM. For more information, see Release Notes for VSP
Operating System Software, NN47227-401. As an alternative, use the ACLI.
