Ping Result field descriptions
Use the data in the following table to use the Ping Result tab.
Name Description
OwnerIndex Specifies the ping test owner.
TestName Specifies the test name.
OperStatus Indicates the operational status of the test. The default is disabled.
IpTargetAddressType Specifies the IP address type of the target. The default is
unknown.
IpTargetAddress Specifies the IP address of the target.
MinRtt Specifies the minimum ping round-trip-time (RTT) received. A
value of 0 means that no RTT is received.
MaxRtt Specifies the maximum ping RTT received. A value of 0 means
that no RTT is received.
AverageRtt Specifies the current average ping RTT.
ProbeResponses Specifies the number of responses to probes.
SentProbes Specifies the number of sent probes.
RttSumOfSquares Specifies the sum of squares of RTT for all probes received.
LastGoodProbe Specifies the date and time when the last response is received for
a probe.

About this task
View the ping probe history to view the history of ping tests performed by the switch.
Note:
In the current release, troubleshooting using ping and traceroute (including Layer 2 ping and
Layer 2 traceroute) is not supported on EDM. For more information, see Release Notes for VSP
Operating System Software, NN47227-401. As an alternative, use the ACLI.
Procedure
1. From the navigation tree, expand the following folders: Configuration > Edit > Diagnostics.
2. Click Ping/Trace Route.
3. Select a ping entry.
4. Click Ping Probe History.
