Environmental requirement Virtual Services Platform 4000 models
• Adequate clearance at the front and rear of the switch for access to
cables.
Warning:
To avoid bodily injury from hazardous electrical shock and current, never remove the top of the
device. No user-serviceable components are inside. For a translation of this statement, see
Translations of safety messages on page 41.
Airflow direction
Airflow direction in the VSP 4450GSX-PWR+ is from left to right (as viewed from the front). Cool air
enters the chassis through an air inlet at the left of the chassis, which cools the device. Warm air
exits through the exhaust at the right.
Package contents
The following describes the components that are provided with the packaging of each switch. If any
components are missing, contact the switch vendor.
1. VSP 4450GSX-PWR+ or 4450GSX-DC switch with one power supply installed. VSP
4450GSX-DC model comes installed with a DC power supply.
2. Rack-mounting hardware that includes:
• Rack-mount brackets
• Screws to attach brackets to the switch
• Screws to attach the switch to the equipment rack
3. Rubber footpads
4. Documentation that includes the following:
a. Locating the latest software and product release notes for Virtual Services Platform
4000 Series
b. Virtual Services Platform 4000 Series Regulatory Guide
c. Virtual Services Platform 4450GSX Quick Install Guide
d. The China RoHS paper
