Device slot numbering - port-side
The ExtremeRouting SLX 9850-8 contains 8 slots for interface modules. Each slot is 1.5 rack units (RUs) in height. A maximum of 8
interface modules are supported per chassis.
The serial number for the device is located at the top of the chassis.
The following
gure shows the device slot numbering and port side view of the SLX 9850-8. The callouts in the illustration correspond
to the numbering of each router component in the chassis when you enter the show slots command.
