4 Connect the Ethernet cables and connect the NX-5500 to the network.
5 Using a standard RS-232 console cable, connect the serial port on the NX-5500 to a serial port on a
separate computer (the “configuration computer”).
Use the following parameters for the serial connection:
Terminal Type VT 100
Port COM port
Terminal Settings

19200bps transfer rate
•
8 data bits
•
no parity
•
1 stop bit
•
no flow control
•
no hardware compression
6 Apply power to the NX-5500.
7 Verify the LCD panel is illuminated.
