Problem: Cannot import users from NT Domain Controller
TheExtremeWareEPICenterServer mustberunning with permissions that enable ittoget
user information from a Domain Controller. To verify and change permissions forthe Web
Server, do the following:
1 FromtheStartmenu,highlightSettings,pullright,andclickontheControlPanel.This
displays the Control Panel folder.
2 Double-click on Services to display the Services Properties window.
3 Highlight “EPICenter 3.1 Server” in the list of services, and click the Startup... button.
4 In the “Log On As:” sectionof the pop-up window, enterthe account name and
password for a user who has the appropriate permissions to access the Domain
Controller.
5 Stop and restart the Web Server service to have the new user logon take effect.
Printing
Problem: When printing a topology map or a report, the browser can appear to freeze.
Printing a reportor a topology map cancausethe browser utilizationtobecome very high
(approaching 100%) and can spool a very large amount of memory. There is no current
solution other than to wait, and the process will eventually finish.
Problem: After printing an HTML report, the Navigation Toolbar is not refreshed.
Although printing from the browser is not supported in most EPICenter applets, you can
printthe HTML reports usingthe browser print button. However, you should first click in
thepanelwherethereportisdisplayedto ensurethat onlythatpanelwill beprinted.Ifyou
printwithoutdoingthis,theNavigationToolbarmay notbe refreshed.If thishappens you
will need to refresh the browser manually.
