EPICenter Components
• A Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), Sybase Adaptive Server
Anywhere, which is used as both a persistent data store and a data cache.
• TheEPICenterclientapplications,whichareJavaappletsthataredownloadedfromthe
serverto a client machine on request and executed ina Java-enabled web browser. The
Java Plug-in version 1.3.1 is required.
Figure 1-1 illustrates the architecture of the EPICenter software.
