Manipulating Map Views
The device represented by the endpoint node
The device port or slot and port to which the link connects, if known
Theutilizationpercentage,ifRMONisenabledonthedeviceandif RMON statisticsare
enabled for this map. The default is that RMON statistics are not enabled for a map.
This is updated regularly, typically every 30 seconds
The total errors, if RMON is enabled on the device and if RMON statistics are enabled
for this map. This is updated regularly, typically every 30 seconds
In addition, for the link itself, the following information is displayed:
The status of the link:UP, DOWN,or NONE
The link type (speed): 10/100, 1000, or unknown
Whether the link is load shared: yes or no
Manipulating Map Views
You can create new topology views or move elements around on existing maps in a
number of ways. The Topology View applet provides a number of ways to invoke the
various commands and functions:
A seriesof pull-down menus. All commands and functions can be accessedfrom these
menus
A set of icons that represent a commonly-used subset of the functions available
Apop-upmenuyoucaninvokebyclickingtherightmousebuttononanyunoccupied
area of the map background
A pop-up menu you can invoke by right-clicking on a Device map node

Creating a New View or a New Map
TheDefault mapcontainsall thenetwork devices known to EPICenter, arranged based on
