Using ExtremeView
1 Click Find at the top of the Inventory Manager page.
The Find Devices dialog, shown in Figure 10-10, is displayed.

2 Enteryoursearchcriteria:
You can search for devices by name or by IP address. You can limit the search to a
specific domain, or to a specific type of Extreme device. Search criteria can include:
— Adevicename.Click theDeviceName button,andenter acompleteorpartial name
in the Search: field.
— An IP address. Click the IP Address button and enter a complete or partial IP
address in the Search: field. You can use the wild card characters * or ? in your
search criteria.
*acts as a wildcard for an entire octet (0-255)
?is a wildcard for a single digit (0-9)
— A domain. Selectthe domain from the drop-down menu in the domain field.If you
donotspecify anameorIPaddressintheSearchfield,alldevicesinthedomainyou
select will be found.
— A device type. Select the device type from the drop-down menu in the type field. If
you do not specify a name or IP address in the Search field, all devices of the type
you select will be found.
