ExtremeAnalytics Licensing
Since its inception, ExtremeAnalytics has tracked the flow rates across all
configured ExtremeAnalytics engines and enforced restrictions on the data if
the aggregate of these rates exceeded the licensed limit too many times.
Beginning in Extreme Management Center version 8.4, ExtremeAnalytics
licensing now allows deployment flexibility by also granting end-system flow
capacity to an entire deployment, regardless of the number of ExtremeAnalytics
engines.
NOTE: For information on base licensing and all Extreme Management Center features, see
Requirements.
If a flow rate license is applied and no end-system specific license is applied (for
example, 88201), flow rate licensing is used. End-system licensing applies in all
other instances.
If you have both an end-system license and a flow rate license, Extreme
Management Center converts the total FPM allowed to end-systems at a 25:1
ratio. For example, a 1,000 FPM license would be enforced as a 40 end-system
license.
The NMSStandard license (NMS) grants a NAC End-System license limit of 250
end-systems, but does not include ExtremeAnalytics end-systems. Additional
ExtremeAnalytics licenses can then be added to extend that capacity, if needed.
The NMSAdvanced license (NMS-ADV) grants a NAC End-System license limit
of 500 end-systems and 100 ExtremeAnalytics end-systems. Additional
ExtremeAnalytics licenses can then be added to extend that capacity, if needed.
The following is a list of ExtremeAnalytics flow rate licenses and their limits:
ExtremeAnalytics License Name Maximum Flow Rate
NMS-ADV-XXX 3,000
PV-FPM-50K 50,000
PV-FPM-100K 100,000
PV-FPM-500K 500,000
PV-FPM-1M 1,000,000
