The

show

command displays summary information, including

• MAC address

• VLAN name and VLANID

The VLANID

0000

indicates that the entry is a special entry that is not associated

with any one VLAN.

• Entry method (shown in the field labeled Flags):

— Static entry configured by the user

— Dynamic entry learned by the switch

— MAC address entry

— MAC address entry that is used for IP routing

• Slot and port

FDB E

You can remove one or more specific entries from the FDB, or you can clear the entire

FDB of all entries by using the commands listed in Table 5-2.

clear fdb [all | <mac_address> | vlan <name> |
