For the members of the different IP VLANs to communicate, the traffic must be routed
by the BlackDiamond, even if they are physically part of the same I/O module. This
means that each VLAN must be configured as a router interface with a unique IP
address.

To create a port-based VLAN that spans two systems, you must do two things:
Assign the port on each system to the VLAN.
Cable the two systems together using one port on each BlackDiamond per VLAN.
