4.1 PREFLIGHT INSPECTION
4.1.1 EXTERIOR INSPECTION ILLUSTRATION
4.1.2 GENERAL
Visually check airplane for general condition during walk around inspection. Perform exterior
check as outlined in the picture above in counterclockwise direction.
4.2 CHECKLIST PROCEDURES
1) Cockpit
1. Pilot's Operating Handbook (AVAILABLE)
2. Airplane weight and balance CHECKED
3. Ignition switch OFF
4. Battery switch ON
5. Fuel quantity indicators CHECK
6. Battery switch OFF
7. Fuel selector * ACRO & CENTER TANK
N O T E*
Although safe operation does not require the use of the tanks in a specific sequence,
it is recommended to set fuel selector to "ACRO & CENTER TANK" position!
2) Empennage
1. All round inspection, canopy, surfaces,
stabilizer, elevator, trim rudder and tailwheel CHECK
2. Horizontal stabilizer attachment bols CHECK FOR FREEPLAY BY
MOVING THE TIP OF THE
HORIZ. STABILIZER UP- AND
DOWNWARDS
3. Baggage compartment CHECK EMPTY or
baggage SECURED
4. Baggage compartment door CHECK CLOSED and LATCHED
3) Right Wing
1. Aileron, freedom of movement and security CHECK
