Warranty

The warranty against excessive fading available to the original purchasers shall expire on
the tenth (10
th
) anniversary of the date of original installation, except for the “Weathered
Series” and “Faux Masonry” products as described below.
Sole Remedy
For original residential purchasers, in the unlikely event that a product is established by Exteria to
be defective as defined in this warranty, Exteria will, at its option, either (1) repair, replace or
refinish the defective Exteria siding, or (2) refund the amount paid by the original purchaser for the
original installations of the product. If the original cost cannot be documented by the original
owner, Exteria Building Products shall have the sole discretion to determine the appropriate
amount of any refund. In these instances Exteria takes 100% responsibility as indicated in the
following Warranty Protection Schedule:
All Warranty Protection Schedule calculations are based on the current retail value of labor and
materials in the trade area at the time of repair or replacement. Current retail value is determined
in the sole discretion of Exteria Building Products.

However, as to a warranty claim against excessive fading of the “Weathered Series” and “Faux
Masonry” products made by an original purchaser after the fourth (4
th
) anniversary of purchase,
Exteria will, at its option, repair, replace or refinish the defective Exteria siding, upon receipt of
payment from the owner for the cost of the remedial work minus the fading warranty amount. The
fading warranty amount shall be equal to the amount paid by the original purchaser for the original
installation of the defective product multiplied by the percentage in the following Fading Warranty
Schedule, but the Fading Warranty Amount shall in no event be more than the cost of the
remedial work.
