Special Hail Coverage
In addition to the warranty stated above, Exteria will issue a credit or make a payment, at its
option, towards replacement of its products (excluding labor) to the extent damaged by hail, but
only if the owner’s insurance pays a portion of the damage and only to the extent of the excess, if
any, of the price of replacement product over the sum of the deductible and the amount of
insurance proceeds received by the owner.
Exclusive Warranty
THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES ON THESE PRODUCTS OTHER THAN AS SET FORTH IN
THIS WARRANTY. WE ARE NOT LIABLE TO YOU FOR A BREACH OF ANY OTHER
WRITTEN OR ORAL EXPRESS WARRANTIES, SUCH AS THOSE, IF ANY GIVEN TO YOU BY
DEALERS, CONTRACTORS, APPLICATORS, OR DISTRIBUTORS OF THE PRODUCTS. THIS
IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED. EXTERIA UNDERTAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE QUALITY OF THE
PRODUCTS EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY.
EXTERIA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY THAT THE PRODUCTS WILL BE FIT FOR ANY
PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR WHICH YOU MAY BE BUYING THE PRODUCTS EXCEPT AS
OTHERWISE SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY.
Who is Covered
Only the original purchaser of Exteria products or a properly registered transferee has any rights
under this warranty. However, this warranty against excessive fading of products is only available
to an original purchaser and is not transferable.
Transfer of Warranty
This warranty is transferable on a one time basis by the original purchaser to an immediate
subsequent purchaser of the original real estate structure in which the Exteria product was
installed. To properly transfer the benefits of this warranty, the original purchaser must provide
written notice to Exteria Building Products within 30 days of the property transfer along with
documentary proof of property ownership transfer, i.e. a signed settlement statement of title
transfer document.
How Long Does the Coverage Last
For each original purchaser who is an individual purchasing products for property used as his or
her primary or secondary residence, the warranties stated herein expire on the date on which
such purchaser no longer owns the residence at which installation was made. Exteria’s
responsibility shall be as stated in the Warranty Protection Schedule below under “Sole Remedy.”
For each original purchaser which is a corporation or other legal entity or who purchases products
for premises not used exclusively by the purchaser as his or her residence and for each
registered transferee, the warranties stated herein shall expire on the 50
th
anniversary of the date
of original installation, but Exteria’s responsibility shall not exceed the percentage stated in the
Warranty Protection Schedule below under “Sole Remedy.”
