❖ To edit a component variable
1 Right-click the component variable in the Property section to open the
pop-up menu.
2 Select Edit.
3 Apply any modifications to your current settings.
❖ To remove a component variable
1 Right-click the Component variable in the Property section.
2 Select Remove.
Evaluating SBN expressions
Select the Evaluate command if you want to allow SBN expressions that are
evaluated prior to using the property value. Some property items are pre-set to
Eval.
❖ To select or clear the Evaluate property
1 Click the line of the property item you with to disable the evaluation for.
2 Right-click to open the pop-up menu.
3 Click Evaluate to toggle the current setting.
Encrypting properties
Property values are stored in the repository in XML format. However, most
entries in the Sybase IQ ETL repository are not encrypted but are represented
in a readable character set.
❖ To save property values in an encrypted format
1 Click the line of the property.
2 Right-click to open the pop-up menu.
3 Click Encrypt to toggle the current setting.
