circuitstoresetandbreakerstotrip.
ItisnotrecommendedtousecalibrationequipmenttotesttheMA260.Calibratorscanbedamagedif
usedtotesttheMA260.
1. Inserttheblacktestleadbananaplugintothenegative(COM)
jackandtheredtestleadbananaplugintothepositive(V/Ω)
jack.
2. Touchthetestprobetipstothecircuitundertest.
3. NotethatbecauseoftheAuto‐Sensefunctionthemeterstarts
inthe
continuity(resistance)modeand,afterseveralseconds,
enterstheVoltagemode.Thistimedelaymayprecludethe
meter’suseonsomeapplications,pleaseusecaution.
4. Readthe voltageinthedisplay.Thedisplaywillindicatethe
properdecimalpointandvalue.
5. NotethatthevoltagedetectLEDmay
lightwhenACVvoltageis
measured.Themeteriscapableofmeasuringvoltagefrom
1.3VACto1000VAC.Signalsbelow1VACwilltriggerthemeter’s
alertbeeper.

Theinputimpedanceincreaseswithinputvoltagetoapproximately420Kohmsat1000VAC.
