For maximum accuracy allow the light being measured to fall directly on the sensor as
perpendicularaspossiblewithaminimalangleofincidence.
When the meter is not in use, please keep the protective cap in place, covering the light
sensor.Thiswillprolongthelifeofthesensor.
When the meter is to be stored for long periods, please remove the battery and store it
separately.Batteriescanleakand
causedamagetothemeter’scomponents.
Avoidareasofhightemperatureandhumiditywhenusingthisinstrument.

Cleaningandstorage
1. Thewhiteplasticsensordomeshouldbecleanedwithadampclothwhennecessary.Use
onlyamildsoapifneeded.Donotusesolvents,abrasives,orharshdetergentstocleanthe
dome.
2. Storethemeterinanareawithmoderatetemperatureandrelativehumidity.
BatteryReplacement
Whenthebatterypowerdecreasestoacriticallevel,thebatterysymbolwillappearasemptyon
theLCD.Replacethe9Vbatterylocatedintherearbatterycompartment.Thebattery
compartmentslideseasilydownwardforremoval(inthedirectionoftheprintedarrowonthe
rearofthemeter).Ensurethatthecompartmentcoverissecurelyfastenedbeforeusingthe
meter.
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeusedbatteriestoappropriate
collectionsites,theretailstorewherethebatterieswerepurchased,orwherever
batteriesaresold.
Disposal:
Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuserisobligatedtotake
endoflifedevicestoadesignatedcollectionpointforthedisposalofelectricalandelectronic
equipment.
