1. Inserttheblacktestleadbananaplugintothenegative(COM)jackandtheredtestlead

bananaplugintothepositive(V/Ω)jack.

2. MovetheFunctionSwitchtothe or

position.

3. ReadtheWarningandCautionstatementsatthebeginningofthissectiontodetermine

whetherornottousethetestleadprobecovers.

4. Touchthetestprobetipstothecircuitundertest.Besuretoobservethecorrectpolarity

(redleadtopositive,blackleadtonegative).

5. ThemeterdefaultstotheAutoRangemode(AutodisplayedonLCD).PresstheRbutton

toaccessthemanualrangemode.PressandholdtheRbuttontoreturntotheAuto

Rangemode.

6. Readthedigitalvalueandthebargraphrepresentationofthe

measurementinthe

display.Thedisplaywillalsoindicatetheproperdecimalpointandmeasurement

type/unitssymbols.Ifthepolarityisreversed,thedisplaywillshow(‐)minusbeforethe

value.

7. Notethevoltagealertsymbol whenvoltageispresent.

8. ThemeteriscapableofdetectingDCvoltagesto1000V.


