„„ DC +5V Source Switch
This switch selects DC +5V power source for the CD-ROM drive.
There are two sources to choose from - PC direct or DC/battery. The CDS-420 and CDS-620 only
need +5V, therefore, if your PC can supply 1A +5V from PCMCIA slot, you should be able to use
the CD-ROM without external power by setting the switch to “PC”, otherwise, you need to set the
switch to ”DC/BATT” to use the external power source. The CDS-421 and CDS-621 need DC +12V,
therefore, AC adapter or batteries are necessary even the +5V is supplied by PC.
