3 Select the type of database that the B.A.S.I.S.® database
runs on.
4 Enter the database connection string. Use the following
format to structure the database connection string.
server = server computer name or IP address
uid = user ID of the B.A.S.I.S. database owner account
pwd = password of the user ID
database = name of database
An example:
Server=localhost;uid=lenel;
pwd=multimedia;database=AccessControl
5 Click Try Connection.
A message appears on the screen, ‘Valid database
connection.’
If a connection cannot be established, the message
appears, ‘No valid database.’ See your network or
B.A.S.I.S. Administrator.
6 Click Apply.
Note Make sure to click the Apply button before proceeding to
another tab in the configuration utility. You can revert to a
previous state by clicking the Revert button. This action will
return the configuration to the previous saved ‘Apply.’
