Replacingtheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrive
Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Whenreplacingthedrive,besuretofollowtheprecautions.
Attention:Theharddiskdriveorsolidstatedriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamage
andpermanentlossofdata.Observethefollowingguidelines:
•Replacetheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectors
andslotoftheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchanges,ordriveswapping.
•Donotdropthedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Putthedriveonamaterial,suchassoftcloth,that
absorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoverofthedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformation
onit,andthenturnthecomputeroff.
•Neverremovethedrivewhilethesystemisoperating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacetheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrive,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebattery.See“Replacingthebattery”onpage67.
4.Removethescrewthatsecuresthecoveroftheslot,thenremovethecover.
