Adjustment
Ifthemachinetravelsorpullstoonesidewhenthe
motioncontrolleversareinthefullforwardposition,
adjustthetracking.
1.Pushbothcontrolleversforwardthesame
distance.
2.Checkifthemachinepullstooneside.Ifitdoes,
stopthemachineandsettheparkingbrake.
3.Releasetherearcushionfromtherearofthe
machine.
4.Placethefrontreference/speedcontrolbarin
themaximumforwardposition.SeeAdjusting
theFrontReference/SpeedControlBarin
Operation.
5.RotatetheturnbuckleontheLHsideofthe
machine(asviewedfromtherearofthemachine
—seeFigure33).
6.Lookingdowntowardstheturnbuckle—rotate
itcounterclockwise,in1/4turnincrements,to
increasespeedorclockwisetodecreasespeed.
7.Drivethemachineandcheckthefullforward
tracking.
8.Repeatsteps5through7untildesiredtracking
isobtained.
9.Reinstalltherearcushion.
ChecktheNeutralSwitch
Alignment
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removethekeyorsparkplugwire(s).
3.Settheheightofcuttothe3inch(7.6cm)
position.
4.PerformtheMotionControlNeutral
AdjustmentandMotionControlTracking
AdjustmentasstatedintheMaintenancesection.
5.Releasetherearcushionfromtherearofthe
machineandlowertotheplatform.
6.CheckthealignmentontheLHandRHneutral
switchesupperandlowersurfaces(reference
Figure34).Iftheyarenotinalignment,loosenthe
hardwareonthelowerneutralswitchandadjustit
forwardorrearwardasnecessary.Oncealigned,
tightenthehardware.Checktheneutralswitch
alignmentagainasthedeckismovedthroughthe
highestandlowestcutheightsetting;adjustthe
lowerneutralswitchsurfaceifnecessary.
