Operation
Thebrakeleverengagesaparkingbrakeonthedrive
wheels.
Note:TheLCDindicatorappearsinthemessage
displayonthefrontconsolewhentheparkbrakeis
engaged(seeFigure5andFigure7).
Toengagethebrake,pulltheleverrearwardandto
therighttopositionintotheengagedposition.
Torelease,pullthebrakeleverbackandovertothe
left,positionintotheslotandpushtheleverforward.
Whenparkingonasteepslope,thewheelsmustbe
chockedorblockedinadditiontothebrakebeing
engaged.Theunitmustbetieddownandbrake
engagedwhentransporting.
Parkbrakemustbedisengagedbeforemoving
motioncontroloutofneutralorenginewillkill.
IgnitionSwitch
LocatedontheLHsideofthefrontcontrolconsole
(seeFigure5).
Theignitionswitchisusedtostartandstopthe
engine.Theswitchhasthreepositions“OFF”,“ON”
and“START”.Insertkeyintoswitchandrotate
clockwisetothe“ON”position.Rotateclockwiseto
thenextpositiontoengagethestarter(keymustbe
heldagainstspringpressureinthisposition).Allow
thekeytoreturntothe“ON”positionimmediately
aftertheenginestarts.

controlmeetsthe“safetostart”mode.Becausethe
PTOmustbedisengagedtostarttheengine,the
LCDindicatorwillnotilluminateatthistime.
FuelShut-OffValve
LocatedontheRHsideofthecontroltowerbehind
thekneecushion.
Thefuelshut-offvalveisusedtoshutoffthefuel
whenthemachinewillnotbeusedforafewdays,
duringtransporttoandfromthejobsite,andwhen
parkedinsideabuilding.
Alignvalvehandlewiththefuellinetoopen.Rotate
90°toclose.
