LIMITED WARRANTY POWR PAK MOTIVE POWER BATTERY AND CHARGER (MODELS M21 AND M89 WITH PP DESIGNATION ) This limited Warranty and Warranty Adjustment Agreement is entered into between GNB Industrial Power (GNB) and the Original User with respect to CHAMPIONÒ Powr Pak Motive Power Batteries and Chargers for industrial electric vehicle motive power use.
3. 4. 5. At no time shall a CHAMPIONÒ battery vent cap cover be removed by anyone other than a GNB-authorized representative. Removal by others shall void the total Warranty for the battery. The battery has been charged and maintained consistently in accordance with GNBs printed Installation and Operating Instructions and other instructions as may be furnished by GNB, as verified by the Original Users service log.
IMPORTANT OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal charger operation. For this reason it is of the utmost importance that each time before using your charger, read and follow the instructions provided exactly. a) Before using the battery charger, read all the instructions, precautions, CAUTION, WARNING, and DANGER markings on the charger, battery and all products using the battery.
1. INTRODUCTION 2. INSTALLATION The GNB SPP “SCR POW’R PAK” series chargers are designed to make battery charging an easy, economical and precise operation. Chargers are made for single phase, 120 Volt, 60 Hertz or 240 Volt, 50 Hertz operation. Here are the GNB advanced design features in the new SPP chargers: The SPP charger is mounted in the pocket provided at the side of the battery tray. It should be inserted such that the front vent holes at the top face the outside of the battery tray.
WARNING: THE USE OF AN IMPROPER OR DAMAGED EXTENSION CORD COULD RESULT IN A RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. LOCATE ALL CORDS SO THAT THEY WILL NOT BE STEPPED ON, TRIPPED OVER OR OTHERWISE SUBJECTED TO DAMAGE OR STRESS. 4. DC CONNECTIONS The output is provided with a commonly used SB175A black connector. Check to be sure the polarity of the battery connector is the same as the charger plug. A reversed connection may cause charger damage and/or DC fuse blowing.

8. MAINTENANCE The SPP charger requires a minimum amount of maintenance. It is to be kept clean and all connections tight. All ventilation holes are to be kept unobstructed at all times. In addition, examine the AC linecord periodically to ensure it is in good condition; replace if necessary. 9. TROUBLESHOOTING NOTE: If the charger does not operate properly, consult a qualified GNB service representative.
