MAINTENANCE
•Alwayskeepameandmetalitemsawayfromthebattery.
•Keepthebatterycleananddry.
•Ifthebatterytemperatureisabove110˚F(43˚C),coolthe
batterybeforechargingoroperating.
•Keeptheventcapssecurelyinplacewhileoperatingor
charging.
•Keepthebatterycompartmentandbatterycoveropen
duringcharging.
•Addapprovedwater*aftercharging-neveraddacid.
•Keeptheelectrolytelevelabovetheplates(see
illustration).
•Afterafullcharge,thebatteryshouldbeallowedtocool
approximately8hourspriortoanotherdischargecycle.
Propercooltimeisnecessaryafterchargingtoavoid
batterydamageathighertemperatures.

thebottomof the cell covervent -see
drawing)andtheplatesasshowninthe
drawing.Thebatteriesshouldbelledto
the“HighWateringLevel”onlyattheend
ofthechargingperiod.
