2 Safety Information
Safety Conventions

described in this manual:

Refers to a potential product hazard. It requires a
procedure which, if not correctly followed, may result
in component damage. Do not proceed beyond a
CAUTION unless you understand and meet the
required conditions.
IMPORTANT
Refers to any information regarding the operation of
the product which you should not overlook.
Safety Precautions
The following safety precautions must be observed while operating and
servicing the units. Failure to comply with these precautions or with
specific indications elsewhere in this manual violates safety standards of
intended use of the unit. EXFO assumes no liability for the user's failure to
comply with these requirements.

maintenance other than those specified herein may result in
hazardous radiation exposure.
