20 xDSL Tests: Using the Main

The FTB-635 is designed to make DSL turn-up easy. The unit will emulate a

CPE modem to the point that it can handshake and connect with a DSLAM

and report the upstream and downstream parameters. Simply connect to

the line, turn on the FTB-635 (or vice versa), and select an xDSL test to run.

Note: The Tests Tools and Utilities shortcuts are active only after a network

connection is established by the modem.

Start/Stop Button

The Start/Stop button allows you to start and stop a test. The button text

changes depending on the action performed (toggle button).

Start: when the test is not running.

Stop: when the test is running.
