Station Ground
Station Ground
The Station Ground test measures the resistance of the ground path from
the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) to the CO (Central Office). The
test uses Tip (A), Ring (B), and Ground (Earth) leads and measures
isolation resistance between the wires and to ground. Station Ground is
also used to identify possible faults, and to measure the resistance of the
twisted pair cable.
To access the Station Ground window:
1. From the Copper main menu Test Groups, select Multimeter 2 test
.
2. From the Tests menu, select Station Ground to start the test.
By default, the Confirmation page opens displaying how to connect
your leads. See Hookup Diagram on page 184 for more information.
