Product-Specific Commands—Description
:STATus?
Description This query returns a value indicating the global 
status of the instrument.
This command has no associated *RST 
condition.
Syntax :STATus?
Parameter(s) None
Response Syntax <Status>
Response(s) Status: 
The response data syntax for <Status> is defined 
as a <CHARACTER RESPONSE DATA> element. 
The <Status> response represents the 
instrument state, where:
UNINITIALIZED means the instrument has not 
been initialized yet.
INITINPROGRESS means the instruments 
initialization is in progress.
READY means the instrument is ready.
BUSY means the instrument is busy.
DISCONNECTED means the instrument is 
disconnected.
DEFECTIVE means the instrument is defective.
