Volume Bypass
When the volume sliders for the exaSound driver in the Audio MIDI Setup application are set to 0dB, the
hardware volume control is turned off and the e22 DAC operates in Volume Bypass Mode.
To activate Volume Bypass:
Set the master volume slider to 0dB.
Set the left and right volume sliders to 0dB.
Make sure that your player is not changing the volume level.
JRiver / JRemote Volume Synchronization Plug-in
The exaSound Volume Synchronization Plug-in allows JRiver 20 for Windows and JRemote to access the
hardware volume control built in all exaSound DACs.
Moving the JRemote or JRiver volume slider changes the master volume slider on the exaSound
Dashboard.
Changing the master volume with the exaSound Dashboard adjusts the JRemote / JRiver volume
sliders.

Click on the exaSound icon on the Menu and select Settings.
Use the Max Volume setting to prevent accidental playback at volume levels that are too loud.
