combining is enabled independent receiver performance data is not available on the
Performance Page.
Enable XPIC/Vertical Enable XPIC/Horizontal implement these parameters in a cross-pole
interference cancellation configuration. In this configuration, one terminal at one end of the
link must have Enable XPIC/Vertical enabled, while the other terminal at that end must have
Enable XPIC/Horizontal enabled. XPIC provides a means to connect two parallel links across
a cross-polarized antenna to achieve higher capacity than one independent link.
RX RSL Differential parameter (for space diversity configurations) if transmission system
specifications are different from one another for the two connected antennas (such as in a Space
Diversity configuration with different size antennas for each receiver), enter the anticipated RSL
delta in this field. The radio provides alarm conditions when RSL is not meeting anticipated levels.
If this alarm is not desired, click the disable button.
RSL Monitor parameter controls which RSL is presented at the front-panel RSL voltage port. This
can be selected to either RX1 or RX2 (for two-receiver models), or COMBINED for the highest
value of either (for two-receiver models). It is recommended that you select the independent port
of interest if using this port for antenna alignment.
Enable the Automatic Transmit Power Control (ATPC) parameter (if authorized) to increase
transmitter power if the RSL drops below the programmed value. The maximum output power for
ATPC is either 10dB or the maximum power capable from the radio (including installed license
keys). Use the ATPC timers to ensure that the radio meets regulatory requirements. Timer
information is provided in the
ATPC Statistics Page under the Monitor section. Also, the
diagnostics chart for RSL illustrates the ATPC threshold level to accomplish a proper diagnosis of
the RSL relative to ATPC.
The External Alarm Inputs parameter can be ignored unless connecting external alarm sources to
the radio to monitor the status of these external alarms through the radio management system (see
Interface Connections).
